This is a review for the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer, Iron/Fuchsia.and Silver White.I am a big fan of Dyson dryers and vacuums even though they’re often fairly pricey. With their products, you actually get what you pay for.I bought one of these hair dryers last year and aside from the fact it’s super cool looking, I am so pleased with the way it works. The dryer is incredibly lightweight which is a big deal, especially for those of us who have thick hair and want to spend as little time as possible holding up a dryer. It’s cut my hair-drying time by half. My arms don’t get tired drying my hair AND, it’s not as noisy as my other hair dryers.Because I wanted to get a professional stylist’s opinion, I gave one to my friend who works at a salon. She loves it, and we discussed all the pros and cons.Pros:• Drys hair faster.• it’s lightweight and nice and compact.• Hair doesn’t get sucked into motor since it doesn’t have a fan - so you don’t damage or burn your hair by getting it caught in a fan.• it come with 3 great attachments, even a defuser for curly hair.Cons:• The cord is big and bulky not as easy to wrap up and store. So I am recommending this hair dryer for all the reasons listed above. I love it.

I am so glad I bought this. This hair dryer truly does what it says its going to do. It dries my very thick, very frizzy, very wavy hair, but if I use the right brush along with good styling products, I get the perfect blowout with this hair dryer. I love that it is very quiet and I don't feel like I'm "frying" my hair. I love the many different settings and once you get used to the feel of the hair dryer, it is very comfortable and doesn't cause my arm to hurt from having to hold it.

First of, when first bought this hair dryer I thought I was nut because it is expensive. Especially when seeing average $50 of other dryer. However, my wife has owned a German made dryer from early 90s and it is still working so I thought to myself if this one could get half a life of that it worth it. OK, initially I hated it because it is clunky compares to the German made. However, over time it has grown on me especially after getting used to the weight distribution of this dryer which is in the handle. What WE like about it: Fast dry time, quietness, easy to maneuver, magnet attachments, well built, compactness (much shorter than others so your arm does not have to extend away from your body). What I did not like about: initial price, power cable is too thick. However, after 6 months of use all my dislikes are gone, now I think this hair dryer worth every penny. I am a frugal person and this to me is a good buy.

I'm not sure why people have been bashing this hair dryer, but when I read the negative reviews it almost seemed like they hadn't actually tried using it?This is a great hair dryer, that's different then what you're used to so you'll need a week to adjust. Make sure you watch the styling videos because this is a stronger machine than you're used to with a different balance.+It is measurably stronger than other hairdryers on the market.+It self monitors the temperature at the exit point so that your hair wont be damaged from holding it to close.+It's much easier to hold given how it's weighted in the handle (the force you feel is weight multiplied by perpendicular distance, which has been dramatically reduced.+It's MUCH faster at drying hair. That said you can't just top it on it's fastest hottest setting. After you do the bulk of your drying at the top speed turn it down and finish it off.+The attachments go on magnetically, which is very easy and again very fast.+The attachments (per the support videos) make it much easier to finish blow drying your hair and not needing to style it.+ Because of it's unique design of air intake, it forgoes the traditional L design for a I design and fits into narrow drawers.+++ My wife has had "Nothing but good hair days since we switched and I got used to it"+++++++ My wife gets ready in much less time than she used to. It's "30-50% faster" saving about 5 minutes a day.++++++++++++ My wife doesn't wake me up in the master bathroom because this hair dryer is so QUIET. The other one sounded like a dying helicopter. You can have conversations while it's running, it's just not as convenient as when it's not running.I read a lot of cons that I disagree with on another post so I'm going to say why they aren't that bad.-The cord is too thick--I don't know why you'd think it would be unless you were holding it wrong which it seems like a lot of people the post negative reviews are. I've never had a problem with it and my wife never thought about it.-The air intake is at the bottom and I keep grabbing it.-- This is done on purpose for how it's weighted, most comfortable, and easiest to maneuver. If you're making this mistake adjust it when you feel the air blowing on your hand, it's quite easy to notice and fix You'll get used to it in a week.-Your hair comes out dry like straw--It shouldn't** My wife has very baby fine hair and it comes out nicer with this hair dryer. That said, this is a very powerful hairdryer and using it on the highest setting until your hair is dry will dry your hair out more than weaker hair dryers on their respective highest setting. Watch the videos their quite helpful, or just turn the setting down after the bulk of the drying is done.-It's weighty and uncomfortable--Per the above comments you're not holding it at the handle. The product went through multiple engineering phases you can watch a video on to minimize the strain on your arms and it's very easy and comfortable to use especially compared to other hair dryers where all the weight is above the handle so you have to fight it as you maneuver it.-No way to hang it on a hook-- If you're set on doing so then this is a con. You can pop a plug under your sink and keep it in a drawer always plugged in and out of sight which seems to be more desirable for me.-No way to put it in a drawer-- This is just not true, I have a 6.5 in drawer that doesn't fit traditional hair dryers because it's too small, but it fits this one and a few brushes easily. Most hair dryers are in the shape of a capital L, this is in the shape of an I so it just fits better. The wire isn't a problem, we have a drawer that is only 6.5 in wide and this is the only hair dryer that fits in this drawer.-It's too expensive-- For the benefits of size, speed, noise, quality of hair, ease of use, it's worth it for us though this is a personal decision and no matter how nice a hair dryer is there are much cheaper options out there.

Best hair dryer we have ever experienced - very fast yet gentle. Our only disappointment was that it did not come with the carrying case as advertised on TV

Fantastic, best hair dryer ever and great innovative design both from an aesthetic and functional point of view. Unfortunately horrendously overpriced for what it is even though its a Dyson!

I have a long and thin hair. Some other brands take longer time and fuzzy my hair. after I try the Dyson,it is better than regular hair dryer to minimize hair damage. the best thing is you can tell your hair is smoother after first use.P.S. Got this holder from a different shop. All attachments are magnetically attached to the holder. Easy to store and organize all your Dyson‘s attachments.https://www.amazon.com/shops/FLE

I was a little skeptical that one hair dryer could make a big difference over any other, but this product has proved me wrong. I was using a Babyliss when I got this, and I am (no pun intended) blown away. It takes a little getting used to because it does NOT get as hot as the other dryers. It has sensors that change the heat to optimize it for your level of wetness and it turns out that Dyson doesn't think we need all the heat that we think we need - and they're right! When I use this dryer with NO attachments, it takes the same dry time (maybe a little less) as other dryers but with less heat, and either the less heat or something about how it blows makes me look like I got a professional blowout after a cut. My hair lays much more smoothy and has so much more movement and less weight. I'll put a pic to to show what I mean. Is it worth $400? Maybe. I do think it will last forever and that it makes a daily difference for me, since I use it daily. If you you have a different hair type or you don't often dry, it might not be worth the investment for you. THAT said, it is nice not to be all sweaty after I dry my hair!

I have been waiting for 2 years for the price to come down a little... I was done waiting and decided this is what I need for work. I figured it would pay for itself in a few weeks if I saved 5 minutes per client. I noticed that I'm saving about 10 to 15 minutes per client. Definitely worth the money.
